About the course

Early recognition and prompt and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation are crucial to successful outcome following a cardiac arrest. Basic life support is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest.

BLS includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) maneuver in Cardiopulmonary Arrest (CPA) victims, defibrillation using Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and airway clearance maneuver to remove the presence of a foreign body. The recognition of these situations and the basic immediate care can be performed by people, if they are appropriately informed and trained.

This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills to provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings.
